SoJo Mini was created to give members of Sojournals extended network a place to share more about themselves, not just a place to share content. Messages posted on SoJo Mini are also posted the main page of the Sojournals Network Community. As an added feature messages can be cross-posted to Twitter and Facebook.

Adding this micro blogging feature will hopefully encourage members to get to know one another better while introducing another stream of aggregation to the community.

I noticed a large spike in the number of page hits that SoJo Solutions had received and I thought wow, let’s investigate! So I did a Google search for my Article “Sean Diddy Combs Twit’ Witted“and wouldn’t you know Diddy posted it. He’s a smart man to reference himself that way using Twitter (TweetTree). Evidently either he or one of his staff is very twitter-savvy. Thamks for RTing(Retweeting) my blog post @iamdiddy. Tweet Ya Later! Let’s Go!

Sean Diddy Combs Twit’ Witted

I love how Diddy moves on his feet and with his tweets!

He did it first with MySpace, then YouTube, on Twitter, and Facebook. Diddy is always showing the kids how social media can grow your fan base. Diddy has done social networking and the use of social media a big favor. From blogging on MySpace and video blogging on YouTube, to live webcasting of the unveiling of Unforgivable his Women’s fragrance, and now he’s blowing up Twitter. Diddy if you want to twit with me @Sojournals. Yes it’s micro-blogging again my friends! Yesterday on The Ellen Degeneress Show Diddy gave Ellen and the millions of people watching a crash course on how to use Twitter. Man!….Man! I got chills when I saw that. That made my day! What did Diddy go and do now?!

Why am I so excited? Diddy is the “posterboy” for hip hop and technology. Who needs television or radio? Go Social Media! For the Hip Hop Social Media Award, I nominate Quest Love of the Roots, Erykah Badu, and of course Diddy. Quest Love kinda already had the tech thing poppin’ with OkayPlayer.com and has since been a major influence in the pressence of hip hop media on the Internet in general. Erykah definately has a very special place in her heart for her fans. She drew us into the most sacred moment in the world via text message to Twitter, tweeting the whole experience of her third child’s birth. Wow! But neither of them has given a social media demo on television for millions of viewers! Diddy is currently doing a P.Twitty series through his YouTube Channel to grow his Twitter base where he gives behind the scenes video to his twitter updates. Diddy is doing his best to stay on top as a social media heavy weigh stopping just short of lifestreaming. But, I’m sure it won’t be long before he has an aggregation stream of Diddy24/7 full of photos, videos, tweets, updates, and more. Can’t Stop. Won’t stop.

SoJo Mini - Sojournals Microblogging for Urban Media

The British Monarchy Online & The Royal Channel on YouTube

The British Monarchy has relaunched their official website complete with their already active YouTube videos from The Royal Channel. This is a great way to draw continued interest in the Royal Court, educate visitors on it’s history, and connect all of its many provinces. A perfect example of how to use the web to better connect and inform the general public. I love the Google Map feature too. Where in the world is the royal court? Now you can find out online.

Does Gmail know about the new Xoopit Plugin?

” Xoopit for Gmail now lets Gmail users immediately see and set Facebook® status messages and view the profile photos of their Facebook friends while reading mail, using Facebook Connect.” Is this working for anyone? I have tried downloading it twice on more than one computer. Does it not work for Macs? Gmail’s blog makes no mention of this as if it’s unaware that they have this new functionality. What gives? I recall a few months ago when I first began using Xoopit with my Gmail it allowed you to post directly to Facebook. I have Xoopit photos on my Facebook profile as proof it once worked. Now all of a sudden Xoopit is acting like it’s brand new. The new Xoopit plugin does allow you to do more than just post to Facebook with Gmail Chat integration, and if you want to get more info on this check the links below for that info or visit Xoopit’s blog.
